Job Details
As an Apache CloudStack SME/Architect, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and management of our cloud infrastructure using Apache CloudStack. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud services
Responsibilities
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining Apache CloudStack infrastructure in accordance with project requirements.
• Managing infrastructure resources, including compute, storage, and networking components.
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to CloudStack deployment, virtual machine provisioning, and infrastructure performance.
• Monitoring resource utilization and planning for scalability to ensure adequate capacity for current and future workloads.
• Developing scripts and automation tools to streamline deployment processes, configuration management, and repetitive tasks.
• Implementing security best practices to safeguard cloud infrastructure and data, including access control, encryption, and compliance with security standards.
• Integrating CloudStack with other systems and platforms, such as billing systems, monitoring tools, and identity management solutions.
• Identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizing cloud infrastructure for improved efficiency and responsiveness.
• Creating and maintaining documentation for configuration settings, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and network engineers, to ensure seamless operation of the cloud environment.
• Staying updated with the latest developments in cloud technologies and recommending enhancements to optimize the CloudStack environment.
• Responding to incidents and outages promptly, implementing measures to mitigate risks, and ensuring high availability of cloud services.
• Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards related to cloud computing, data privacy, and
security.
• Mastery of cloud computing concepts like IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, coupled with an understanding of best practices, is vital for the development and deployment of robust cloud solutions
o Understanding of cloud security best practices, including data encryption, access control, and network security.
o Ability to document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps effectively.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
o Problem-Solving Skills: Aptitude for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues in a timely manner.
o Willingness to stay updated with the latest developments in cloud computing technologies and trends.

Skills And Abilityy
- Ability to use scripting and programming language to build and maintain the stacks in Python, Perl and Jscript.
- Â Ability to develop rules, automation scripts and manage them.
- Good communication, problem solving, analytical, team work, time management and other interpersonal skills
Required Skill Set & Experience
- Systems Engineering, Systems Administration and Operations.
- Deep and comprehensive knowledge of operating systems and server management.
- Physically build, configure, wire up and install hardware.
- Deep and comprehensive knowledge on resource virtualization and software defined services.
- Network implementation and management expert.
- Good understanding and experience in software development and software engineering
- Good understanding and experience in Quality assurance and testing engineering.
- Comprehensive experience in building automation pipeline experts
- Good to have database administration skills
Required Skill Set & Experience
- Ability to use scripting and programming languageto build and maintain dashboards using tools like Grafana
- Â Ability to develop vendor strategies, budget management and tracking.
- Good communication, problem solving, analytical, team work, time management and other interpersonal skills
Education/Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 12-15 years of experience in Apache CloudStack, Open Stack, Open Nebula, VMware, AWS, Azure, etc.
